EDUCATION BACKGROUND
Yang Bohui, an animal breeding scientist by training, received MS degree(1997) and PhD degree(2006) in Animal Genetics,Breeding and Reproduction Science from Gansu Agricultural University,China. He was also visiting scientist at the institute of animal husbandry in federal republic of Germany (2001).
RESEARCH AREA
He has been engaged in the field of theory, technology and methods of Animal Molecular Breeding. He is Office of Ministries Authorized Scientist researched on molecular breeding in National Wool & Cashmere Industry Technology System. He was the director of the industrialization and breeding research on new varieties of "Alpine Merino"
He was in charge of "Research and application on high-tech of sheep industry ".Awarded the Second Grade Prize for Science and Technology Progress of Gansu Province in 2008(ranked first).
He participated in "Datong yak new varieties and its breeding techniques ". Won the National Grade II Prize for National Science and Technology Progress Award in 2007 (ranked seventh).
He had bred "Alpine Merino" new varieties in 2013.
