On December 6, the opening ceremony of the "2021 International Training Workshop on Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine and Techniques" was held. The workshop is sponsored by Department of International Cooperation of Ministry of Science and Technology and Science and Technology Department of Gansu Province, and organized by Lanzhou Institute of Animal Husbandry and Pharmaceutical Sciences of CAAS. This is the 10th time since 2005 that the institute has hosted the workshop. Mr. Ren Guizhong, secondary inspector of Science and Technology Department of Gansu Province, Mr. Hao Weiping, Deputy director of Department of International Cooperation of CAAS, Mr. Zhang Jiyu, secretary of the party committee of the institute, Mr. Li Jianxi, Deputy director of the institute , Mrs. Wei Zhen, International Cooperation Office of Science and Technology Department of Gansu Province, and other leaders, guests and lecturers attended the opening ceremony and made a speech. Deputy director Li Jianxi presided over the opening ceremony.

    Due to the COVID-19, this year the training workshop is held online, from India, Nepal, Pakistan, Indonesia, Kazakhstan, Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Nigeria, Ethiopia, Eritrea, Benin and other 11 countries attended 27 participants will be on line for 20 days to participate in the training workshop of basic theory of Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine and clinical diagnosis and treatment techniques. The holding of international training workshop is of great significance to expand the influence of Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine culture, promote the international development of Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine technology, further strengthen the scientific and cultural exchanges between China and the countries along the "Belt and Road", and promote the extensive and profound Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine.
